ouch! glad you are ok...and yeah, cars like to both be taken care of at the same time--I think they talk to each other! (ours definitely do).

and sorry the corners are already taken, but there is a spot next to the big elephant on the couch available (and I think you mrs would like a hug too).

Ya I'm glad we are alright as well and that we didn't hit anyone. I just hope I didn't break or crack anything that would end up as a costly repair...

I'll take the spot on the couch then. Is it Friday afternoon yet?

It was warmer today, which was nice. Sadly we got bad news from the dealer. They are telling us that the gasket between the two parts of the casing is cracked and we need a whole new transmission... $4000 worth... And they said we should change our timing belt as well. Another $1000... So we are going to talk to some other places and see if they can do it for much cheaper, at least the transmission part. Not happy about that. So we now have the Honda back and my car is in the shop now. Yay... Seriously need some good car news soon. Or even neutral news...

Yikes!!! yeah, dealerships are like that, hope you find a better place to get it done.
Hope your car has better 'luck' than the honda.....( I guess the neutral news is that it CAN be fixed----no really good news at all though).

had to run some errands today and drove past a few gas stations, geez....what happened?
one of the stations was a whole quarter more than the one accross the street! and it seems we are closing in on $4 again---I dont recall any reason for this jump in prices again

The neutral news would be a bent outer tie rod. Good news would be nothing bent, just needs an alignment and tires balanced. I'm just hoping for neutral news. I'll spend most of my prep today calling different transmission places and trying to get quotes. Yay...

Gas has gone up a lot recently. Dunno why but some places are at $3.75...

just about the same here...though I did find a place for less (had to get a car wash --but needed it anyways)....still between the one up the street from my house and the one I got gas at (withOUT the car wash) there is still over $.30! (with the wash it was $.40) that is a HUGE price difference....

enjoyed the nice warm weather today--would have gone out without a coat if I had known it was going to be this nice---but alas...snow has reared its frosty head again --though no accumulation is suggested, but still, getting tired of it.

Well the week ended on a good note. My mechanic called me during my lunch break and told me that I didn't bend or break anything in my car. He rotated the spare to the back and said it drove better. I asked him to do an alignment on it and when I picked it up, thing drove straight as an arrow. $100 later and my car is fixed. Thank goodness. I also called another transmission place, they agree with me and I'm going to take the Honda to them next week for them to look at and give me an estimate on what it will take for them to repair it. So yesterday went pretty darn well. Really needed that after my week.

The weather was nice yesterday. We are supposed to hit 60 on Monday! And then 30's again on Wednesday with possible snow... But I'll take the 60's while I can get them!

I wish I knew why gas went up so I could complain about that. But I don't. Just not happy that it is up... Those companies are already in the top 10 earners each year, and they just keep padding their wallets. Darn supply and demand...

this winter is past being old, really am tired of it....and I think others are going stir crazy as well, some strange driving happening today.

yes, the gas companies complain, yet have some of the highest profits in the country--go figure.

Ya so do I. I'll give the transmission place a call tomorrow and set up an appointment.

Supposed to be 50 today and be in the 50's or above for most of this coming week. We can only hope that it stays that way from now on...

It is the whole once you get some, you want more I guess. They will never make enough even though they are making more than most people will ever see in their lifetime in a year.

we might hit 50 tomorrow, but they have snow in the forecast again for the midweek with temps in the 20's again...will this ever end????

the hour less of sleep today was not helping that either.....not supposed to change clocks until spring--but with a healthy amount of snow on the ground and snow planned for the week--I am just not seeing 'spring'

Well we hit 59 today. Pretty darn warming considering this winter. Of course we are supposed to get snow tomorrow night... Not so much fun.

The hour less of sleep was brutal today. Did not like that at all...

Have the car set to take to the shop and have them look at it on Thursday. Hope they can fix it without replacing the transmission...

We aired the place out as well. Was pretty nice. It is closed up again though since it was getting cool out.

Well we are supposed to get 3-5 inches of snow tonight. Starting at like 3am... And going until 5am. And I'm sure they will still make us come in because they don't want to use another snow day... Awesome.

Luckily it is supposed to clear up tomorrow after 8am, so at least I should have some what clear roads to get my wife's car to the shop.

We got 1.4 inches and it snowed throughout the day. It was a heavy wet slushy snow. Pretty gross stuff.

Roads weren't bad though, which was a plus. Got my wife's car dropped off at the shop and should hear from them tomorrow. Hoping for better news than what the dealer gave us.
